Ben and Megan’s Modern Editorial Wedding at Hyde House Public Studio
On a beautiful day at the stunning Hyde House Public Studio, Ben and Megan tied the knot in a wedding that perfectly blended modern elegance with editorial sophistication. I had the pleasure of meeting Ben and Megan in 2022 when I captured their surprise proposal on North Redington Beach in the St. Petersburg Florida area. I felt so honored when they reached back out to see if I could capture their wedding day at Hyde House Public Studio in Tampa, Florida just two years later.
The Venue: Hyde House Public Studio
Hyde House Public Studio set the perfect stage for Ben and Megan’s wedding. Known for its industrial chic vibe and contemporary design, the venue provided a versatile and stylish backdrop for both the ceremony and the reception. The expansive space, flooded with natural light, created an inviting and warm atmosphere that was both modern and romantic.
The Decor: Modern Elegance
The decor reflected the couple’s taste for modern sophistication. Hyde House is one of the Tampa Florida venues that does not require much decor. The space is already uniquely designed with clean lines, a neutral color palette with pops of bold colors (like deep navy, emerald green, or burgundy), and a mix of textures such as marble, metal, and glass. This combination added depth and richness to the overall aesthetic.
The Ceremony: A Stylish Affair
Ben and Megan’s ceremony took place on the Veranda. A striking floral arch, adorned with flowers and greenery, served as the focal point. The modern seating arrangement, with chairs placed on each side, brought an intimate feel to the proceedings. As the two exchanged their vows, the love and joy in the room were palpable, creating a moment that was both beautiful and heartfelt.
The Reception: A Celebration to Remember
Post-ceremony, guests were treated to a cocktail hour in the emerald green room at Hyde House while the couple did portraits outside. Followed by a reception that was as stylish as it was enjoyable.
- Tablescapes: tables were elegantly set with chic place settings and sophisticated glassware. Low, lush floral centerpieces interspersed with candles added a romantic touch to the modern decor.
- Signage: Minimalistic signage guided guests throughout the evening, from the seating chart to the bar menu. These sleek touches tied seamlessly into the overall aesthetic.
Attire: Contemporary Chic
Ben and Megan looked absolutely stunning in their wedding attire. Megan’s gown was a masterpiece of modern design, featuring a silk bow in the back. Ben was equally dapper in a tailored black suit, paired with a crisp white shirt and a sleek tie. The bridal party complemented the couple perfectly, with bridesmaids in chic, silk sea foam green dresses and groomsmen in coordinating suits.
Photography: Editorial Perfection
The photography captured the essence of the day with an editorial flair. Every shot told a story, from candid moments between the couple to detailed images of the stunning decor. Hyde House has very unique spaces to do photos at and seriously is a photographers dream. From a studio space all the way to a pinterest worthy pink bathroom, the wedding venue had endless amounts of back drops.
Conclusion: A Day to Cherish
Ben and Megan’s modern editorial wedding at Hyde House Public Studio was a day to remember. Every detail, from the decor to the attire, reflected their unique style and love for each other. The combination of modern sophistication and personal touches made for a truly unforgettable celebration. Their wedding was not just an event but an experience, beautifully captured and cherished by all who attended.
